some things.

it is kind of starting to feel like fall around here.
and it is making me all kinds of happy.
the crisp morning air as i leave for work.
the leaves rustling on the gorgeous orange and yellow trees as we work around the kitchen in the evening.
this kind of weather just makes me happy.
(although i'd be happier if i could just stay in my jammies all day in front of my crackling fake fire watching the today show...)
it makes me want to break out the afghans and maple scented candles and seasonal charlie brown movies and just enjoy the sweetness of fall.
for all too soon it will leave us and we'll be joined by the bitter cold slushiness of winter.
and i'm just not quite ready for that.

it has been a really great few weeks around here.
busy.
but great none the less.
here is what we've been up to...

chocolate chip cookie making (and subsequently, chocolate chip dough eating).

starbi's christmas blend.  so dark.  so yummy.  so perfect when made in my nifty french press. oh la la.

lots of frankie and dino on my pandora station.  sometimes it makes me miss my grandpa so much it hurts.

an afternoon of work is totally worth it for a huge pot of this lady's chicken noodle soup.  please make it.  make it now.  the diabetes will be worth it.

sending awkward pictures to my husband.  because he was out of town for three days and i know he missed this hot mess smiling in his face every morning.

shopping around town like a couple of class acts in our pajamas.  and also, p.s.  i later realized swee'pea wore this shirt for three days straight.  which means he hadn't showered.  but it was raining, so... that counts, right?

doing a little hat shopping.  does this hat scream spring time in new york?  i certainly hope so.

In other news, I'm guest posting today over at one of my closest lady friend and favorite neighbor's blog today.  Please stop by.  You're in for a treat!
